Meet Tianna, just 19 days old here, she was born 5lbs, 8oz and already she has become Daddy’s “little girl”. When we found that Adrian and Monique were expecting this new baby, we were elated for them as this was one of their newest hopes for each other following their
wedding in June of the previous year. One year from the day they were married, here we were to document the newest addition to this family.
As newborn sessions go, this was a cool and calm session as baby Tianna was really easy going through her first photographic session. Much like her parents and Grandma, Tianna was pretty amenable to every new pose, every new setup we had planned for her. Older brother, Simeon, was pretty cool on this day as well. Simeon had mentioned to us how excited he was in being a big brother and it showed throughout the session.
One of the coolest things for us as story tellers was how well this simple session turned out. A simple white backdrop and a few easy outfits for Tianna really allowed this moment to portray the pure emotions emerging from all members of this young family. The importance of the moment was really captured in the powerful imagery captured in how they held her, in the loving glances they had when rocking her to sleep and in the smiles lighting up their faces during portraits taken.
